Q. What is Premium SMS? A. Premium SMS, also known as Reverse Billing, SMS Billing and Text Message Billing is a payment method. It allows you to charge customers from their mobile phone without the need for a credit card. The customer sends an SMS (text message) to one of our SMS short code numbers, and receives an Access Code. At this point the customer's phone bill is charged and the revenues are credited to your Pay2access account. Pay2access supports payment by Premium SMS in several countries, as well as Credit Card, from any country worldwide. Q. In which countries do you support Premium SMS? A. We currently support Premium SMS in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK. New countries may be also be added at any point. Q. What are your payouts for Premium SMS? A. Our standard payout revenues are roughly 40% of the consumer price, i.e. you will receive this percentage of the price actually paid by the customer. We can increase this payout once your Site starts making regular, high revenues. If you expect to make many sales or your site has a large potential customer base drop us an email to discuss our payout options. Payouts do vary slightly between our supported countries. For exact payout figures please login to the members area, where you will find a full breakdown of our payouts. Q. Can I use pay2access to charge customers for access to my site? A. Yes. There are various way in which Pay2access can be used to provide access to an area of your Site. For example you could use Access Codes to provide anonymous logins to a restricted area on your Site. Once a customer purchases an Access Code, they can enter this on your Site to be logged into a members area. You can set your Access Codes to be valid on your Site for, e.g. one week. If your site already uses its own members database, you could use pay2access to allow customers to renew membership or pay for extra functionality. Drop us an email explaining how you want to use Pay2access and we can provide all the technical knowledge you need. Q. Are there any setup fees or monthly fees? A. No. It is free to sign up, set up and start earning money with pay2access. There is no membership fee. We also provide free support by telephone, email, Skype and out live support console. Q. Must my balance reach a certain amount before you pay out into my PayPal/bank account ? A. As soon as your balance reaches 15 Euros we can pay you along with the next monthly payout. If you prefer, you can increase this threshold from our Members Area. Q. I want to use pay2access with my Site. How do I start? A. Firstly, sign up for free. Our Members Area contains everything you need to get pay2access working with your Site. Follow the simple setup steps and you should be able to get things working within an hour or so. If you require more flexibility, you can also use our Advanced Setup option. We provide you will technical documentation with details of the Pay2access Protocol. If you require any assistance, just contact us by email or using the Live Support console in the Members Area. Q. What is an Access Code? A. When a customer sends an SMS (text message) to one of our Premium short code numbers around the world, they will receive a Code by SMS to their mobile phone. This Access Code can be used on your Site to provide Access to a service, e.g. Site Login, a File Download, to complete a Donation. An Access Code can either expire immediately after it is used, or can be set to expire after, say 3 uses or 7 days. Q. If I use Pay2access for File Downloads, is the content stored on the pay2access system or my web server? A. All content which you wish to sell to your customers is stored on your own web server. Pay2access simply authorises your site to deliver the content to a customer once a payment has been made. Q. Do you support payments in the USA? A. Although Premium SMS support in the USA is not currently available, we hope to be able to offer this in the near future. In the meantime customers can use our Credit Card option from the USA - in fact from any country. Q. When and how will I get paid? A. We pay out revenues monthly either to your PayPal account, your bank account, or by cheque, depending on the preferences you have set in the Members Area. We can pay you into your PayPal account for free, whilst a bank transfer costs 5 Euros, and a cheque will cost you 15 Euros. Revenues for each month are paid out around 7 weeks at the end of the month. Q. How can I view my balance? A. You can view details for each sale immdiately after an Access Code has been entered onto your Site by clicking on "Sale Details" in the Members Area. Your balance is calculated monthly, and can be viewed by clicking "Balance Details". This will show you the amount which will be paid to you via your preferred payment method. Q. Where is pay2access.net based? A. Pay2access.net is part of Sharewire BV. Our headquarters are based in The Netherlands, although we also have offices in the UK. Can I redirect my customers to my own custom error pages when an Access Code is not accepted? A. Yes. Please see our Advanced Options in the Members Interface. Q. Can I integrate pay2access with my own database? A. Yes, you can. You can do this using our Client-side script, or by writing your own Script. However, you do not neccessarily need to run your own database on your Site to in order to use our services. |
